Join us in April for our annual cybersecurity Executive Panel, where we will hear from leaders at Generac, Google, and more, discussing their organization’s adoption and creation of AI, but also the security risks that need to be addressed with this technology. They will also highlight the progress but also concerns surrounding generative AI.

Sarah Alt, Chief Business Process Officer & Principal Consultant, Michael Best & Friedrich LLP;
Sarah Alt is the Chief Business Process Officer for Michael Best. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team and the firm’s Best Innovation Council, Alt helps drive growth and transformation by recommending and implementing process and technology investments that achieve business objectives across the entire Michael Best enterprise. She also regularly consults clients on ethical and responsible design, development, and use of technology. With more than 20 years of business and technology experience, she has deep knowledge of continuous improvement, business modeling, technology integrations, technology adoption strategy, design thinking, change management, and project management.
Outside of her role at the firm, Alt serves as a Fellow with the Ethical AI Consortium, Inc., a non-profit organization that educates and creates awareness about the ethics and responsibility of advanced algorithms, automation, analytics, and artificial intelligence. She established the first-of-its-kind Ethical AI Professional certification for the organization and is well-versed in current ethical AI frameworks, policies, and legislation.
Sarah was recently named to Relativity’s 2023 AI Visionary list, featuring early adopters in legal, compliance, and risk who are playing a seminal role in advancing the use of artificial intelligence in their organizations.

William Cummings, Vice President, Cybersecurity, Generac Power Systems
William is an experienced information security specialist with over 20 years of experience focused on delivering cybersecurity capabilities to large enterprises. He has systems architecture and engineering, IT risk management, business resiliency and executive leadership background. He has provided cybersecurity advisory services to some of Wisconsin’s largest institutions and has established cybersecurity programs supporting multiple Fortune 500 companies. William brings a practical cybersecurity perspective to organizations looking to responsibly adopt AI withing their organizations. William is a board member of the Wisconsin Cyber Threat Response Alliance. He enjoys speaking engagements which raise awareness of the importance of cybersecurity and is active in #GivingBack through championing cybersecurity as a career at local high schools and across higher education campuses.
Elaine Stephens, Customer Engineering Lead, Minnesota & Wisconsin, Google Cloud
Elaine Stephens leads the customer engineering team for Minnesota & Wisconsin. She is responsible for driving the success of Google Cloud by bringing the best people and solutions to customers. She has over 25 years of experience specializing in software development, data warehousing, and data science. Before joining Google she ran Technology and Data Science for Breakthrough. She co-led their digital transformation building next generation cloud-based systems which both drove operational efficiency and created new revenue through the use of data and analytics. Elaine enjoys being involved in the community. She serves on the board of both Women in Technology Wisconsin and Wisconsin’s MIT Alumni club. She has been a frequent guest lecturer at both UW Oshkosh and St. Norbert College talking to the students about AI and other disruptive technologies. One of her favorite ways to give back is judging student technology pitch contests such as Wisconsin YES! and Technovation for Girls.
Jeremy Kedziora, Associate Professor, Pieperpower endowed chair of Artificial Intelligence, Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE)
Kedziora is an award-winning researcher and scientist with 17 years of experience developing new methods in machine learning, Bayesian inference and game theory. Previously, he was a director of data science and analytics at Northwestern Mutual, where he managed the development of machine learning and modeling efforts focused on cybersecurity. Prior to that Kedziora led product development at financial tech (fintech) startup Giant Oak where he focused on natural language processing. Kedziora also served for 9 years at the Central Intelligence Agency as a chief methodologist where he led applied R&D efforts in data science and modeling. He holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Rochester and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison; has taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison; and serves as an advisor to multiple fintech startups.
