Keynote: Sheldon Cuffie VP & CISO at American Family Insurance

The Next Frontier… is Here!

Sheldon is a technology thought-leader of 30 years focused on enabling business outcomes through technology and innovation. As Vice President & Enterprise Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at American Family Insurance, he is responsible for cybersecurity engineering, incident response, information risk management, and disaster recovery across the American Family portfolio of companies.

Previously, Sheldon was VP & Chief Information Officer of American Family Insurance, VP & Global CISO of Dell Technologies, and VP & CISO at Northwestern Mutual. Earlier in his career, Sheldon started as an IT analyst, assuming increasing levels of leadership responsibility in engineering and architecture disciplines for Kohl’s, M&I Bank, Harley-Davidson, Abbott Laboratories, and Northwestern Mutual. Sheldon also served nine years in the Wisconsin Army National Guard as an enlisted soldier in telecommunications, signal, and artillery roles.

Sheldon is a proud graduate of Milwaukee Trade and Technical High School (now Bradley Tech) within Milwaukee Public Schools. He earned a BA in Management and Communications from Concordia University Wisconsin and an MS in Organizational Leadership with honors from Quinnipiac University. 

Sheldon actively volunteers his time and resources to the Milwaukee community serving as a Board Director of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County, the Audit Committee of UW Hospital System / UW Health, and Trustee & Vice-Chairman of Greater Mt. Sinai Church. 

Sheldon is married to his wife, Celeste, of 30 years. They have two adult children, Alyssa and Zach.

Kathi Bellotti, CISSP

Kathi is a graduate of Cardinal Stritch University and has 30+ years of experience in business, IT, and risk management. She has worked various industries both locally and globally. Presently she is the Director of Information Security at U.S. Venture. Prior to information security, she was in sales and marketing and was a small business owner with her husband.

Kathi is a founding member of Women in Technology, Wisconsin and played a key role in the development of the WIT4Girls pillar. She volunteers her time to do security training for smaller businesses and schools. She was a speaker at 2018’s SANS Security Awareness Summit. She is passionate about cyber security and helping everyone become more security aware.

She has three children, two girls and a boy; 20, 17 and 15. Her interests outside of work are gardening, hockey, walking, reading, and anything that her kids want to do.

With over 20 years of experience, ChaChi has spearheaded digital cloud transformations and integrations across Generac’s global enterprise landscape. ChaChi excels in leading technical teams at Generac to support both public/private enterprise cloud architectures, enhancing Cyber Security, AI, M&A integration, and core enterprise services for all stakeholders. Jason Thelen, CIO, Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c.

Jason Thelen is Reinhart’s Chief Information Officer. With his in-depth understanding of enterprise service delivery, he provides leadership to the Application, Technical and End-User Service teams. He ensures the successful delivery of technology through effective project execution and implementation of strategic road maps.

Jason is responsible for providing technical guidance to the firm’s information systems security and compliance. Above all he is committed to maintaining the highest technical standards across the firm while delivering excellence in client service.

 

Yusuf Abu-Hatoum: Chief Information & Technology Officer at Palermo’s Pizza

A successful technology executive with extensive experience in information technology
delivery in the Automotive and Industrial Machinery industries. Expert in leveraging
information technology to drive business value. Disciplined, focused leader and a change
catalyst with experience in creating new organizations and fixing broken ones. Solid
application development background with a proven track record in delivering successful
software; infrastructure projects. Served as a CIO CleaverBrooks, CST Industries,
NABCO Entrances, Sellars Absorbents Materials and now at Palermo’s Pizza. During
these assignments, was responsible for managing all aspects of the Company`s
information strategy and technical infrastructure.
Yusuf possess deep IT executive experience supporting manufacturing and distribution
companies with specialized expertise in selecting and implementing ERP, ecommerce
and CRM systems with supporting infrastructure. Yusuf earned a BSBA in Management
Information Systems from Bowling Green State University and MS in Accounting from
The University of Toledo.
