Innovation – Electric Vehicles RESCHEDULED

Join us in March to hear about the innovation coming from the Electric Vehicle space. Doug Denicola will provide an overview of the EV landscape, and then we will have a panel featuring leaders from Pieper Electric, Madison Gas & Electric, Clean Cities, and the City of Madison Fleet discussing the positive movement the EV industry has made, as well as the many challenges it is still facing.
Doug has over a decade of experience in communication technology as well as five years in multifamily construction. He currently serves as an outside sales representative with Graybar. He spends much of his free time researching renewable technology and designing electric vehicle charging solutions. He is a passionate advocate for renewable energy sourcing and believes that technology can solve the world’s most critical climate issues. Doug lives on Milwaukee’s east side with his longtime girlfriend Tracy and his two greyhounds, Evie, (named appropriately after his favorite topic) and Blue.
David Hedin is an EV Charging Division Manager and Pieper Electric, Inc. His 33 years in the industry has given Dave a passion for Electirc Vehicle Charging infrastructure, supported by an EVITP certification. He continues to work tirelessly to ensure excellence in end-to-end customer experience.
Mahanth S. Joishy is the Fleet Superintendent for the City of Madison, and started at this role in July 2017. He and the team are focused on making the City’s fleet of 1,800 vehicles the greenest, safest, and most cost-efficient possible. Fleet also launched a comprehensive apprentrice program for high school, college, and technical college students in January 2018. Prior to Madison Mahanth spent 16 years in New York City government operations.
Erinn Monroe-Nye is the Energy Services and Policy Manager for Madison Gas and Electric. In that role she manages the implementation of MG&E’s electric vehicle programs and the development of new electrification programs. She has almost two decades of experience in the energy industry including as the director of Focus on Energy, Wisconsin’s statewide third-party administered energy efficiency program. In addition, Erinn has held positions in regulatory and program management for Alliant Energy and Commonwealth Edison, respectively. She holds a Masters degree in International Public Affairs and Energy Analysis and Policy from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. She has been driving an electric vehicle since 2019.
Lorrie Lisek is the president and co-owner of Legacy Environmental Services, Inc., a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) founded in 2003. Lisek has served as Executive Director of Wisconsin Clean Cities since 2011. The coalition is one of nearly 75 under the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities program, which aims to reduce petroleum use by promoting clean, domestic, sustainable fuels, technologies and vehicles. Under Lisek’s leadership, Wisconsin Clean Cities was named a U.S. EPA SmartWay Affiliate Challenge Honoree for the coalition’s role in reducing freight emissions. Lisek has also been instrumental in securing more than $40 million in state and federal funding for the coalition and member advanced mobility transportation projects. In 2015, Lorrie was inducted into the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities Hall of Fame. Lisek was recently honored by the Clean Fuels Alliance with the Impact Award recognizing the efforts of the National Clean Cities Program and Directors.
Kaleb Vander Wiele is from WisDOT’s Division of Budget and Strategic Initiatives and is WisDOT’s Transportation Electrification Project Manager. Kaleb has served in a variety of roles at WisDOT that have allowed him to focus on regulatory issues and policy development. In his current role in the Division of Budget and Strategic Initiatives he has been tasked with leading WisDOT’s effort in preparing for the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program.
