Join the WTA to hear from Derek Hyde, VP of Information Technology for the Milwaukee Brewers, Steve Totzke, VP of Information Technology for Wisconsin Center District,and Ron Kiepert, Executive Director of Operations Technology for the Milwaukee Bucks and Fiserv Forum as they discuss the Total Experience – both the experience of the fans and the organization – and how it influences their technology innovations and advancements. Moderated by Eric Printz, WTA Past President.

Derek Hyde:  Vice President of Information Technology, Milwaukee Brewers

As Vice President of Information Technology for the Milwaukee Brewers, Derek Hyde is responsible for all aspects of technology, software, and cross-functional systems for the Brewers business and baseball operations. He manages and implements progressive strategies, processes, and applications that improve efficiency, cohesion, and automation across the entire organization. Derek is responsible for delivering and supporting best-in-class solutions for the fast-paced and evolving demands of data, security, infrastructure, and telecommunications at American Family Field in Milwaukee, at Five County Stadium in North Carolina, as well as at American Family Fields of Phoenix Park in Phoenix.

Prior to his role leading Brewers’ technology, Derek was the CTO at TrustedChoice.com. In this role, Derek led the product development and strategy for the marketing, lead generation, and comparative rating platform for the largest association of independent insurance agents. Derek is a proven leader with more than 20 years of experience in managing diverse product portfolios and technology strategies serving both private industry and government sectors. He has a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California.

Steve Totzke: Vice President of Information Technology for the Wisconsin Center District (WCD)

WCD is owner and operators of the Wisconsin Center, Miller High Life Theatre, and UWM Panther Arena in Downtown Milwaukee. Steve is responsible for the overall strategy, security, implementation, and management of all information technology systems and infrastructure for WCD and its three venues.

Steve’s experience-obsessed delivery of information technology services for a wide range of entertainment and sporting events is integral in creating some of Milwaukee’s most unforgettable and talked about moments.  As the $420 million expansion of the Wisconsin Center takes shape, Steve’s attention to detail, and experience supporting diverse and complex information technology systems, will help ensure the buildout of the technology infrastructure will not only meet current needs, but be positioned to meet technology needs well in to the future.

Steve has over 20 years of experience supporting the convention and tourism industry in Milwaukee.  Prior to joining the WCD, Steve was the IT Manager for VISIT Milwaukee, the convention and visitors bureau for the Greater Milwaukee area, where he was responsible for all technology, infrastructure, and software, helping to market Milwaukee as a must-see destination.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Computer Systems from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.

Ron Kiepert: Executive Director of Operations Technology for the Milwaukee Bucks and Fiserv Forum. 

Graduate of the University Wisconsin Whitewater with a degree in Management Computer Systems.  Worked for 15 years out of college at Catholic Knights Insurance as the Manager of PCs or Personal Computers.  Started Part Time with the Milwaukee Bucks in 1994 as the Stats Technical Coordinator working part time on Bucks Game Nights.  Started Full Time with the Milwaukee Bucks in 1999 as the Manager of Information Technology.

Currently as the Executive Director of Information Technology, Ron is responsible for all Technology and Broadcasting Services at Fiserv Forum and the surrounding properties.
