2:00pm – i.c.stars – WTA is a proud sponsor of i.c.stars and we are excited to have Leia Ferrari, speak on behalf of the organization. Leia is the Talent Placement Manager. Leia is a digital native who has spent her career working with enterprise-level companies and community-based organizations. In 2014 she found herself at the intersection of technology and education, working at one of the nation’s first coding bootcamps. She has coached hundreds of individuals on the path to full-time employment and finds joy in witnessing people fulfill their potential.
2:15pm – Employ MKE – Our second speaker will be James Haley from Employ Milwaukee Workforce Development. James is the Program Analyst and TechHire Placement Manager for Employ Milwaukee. James is passionate about IT and spent 8 years in corporate America leading large scale IT deployments. After much consideration, he made a leap into the nonprofit sector two years ago where he has mentored and placed IT students. In this small amount of time, he has also made numerous organizational process improvements which decreased rework and opened up additional grant funding. James loves watching lives being forever changed when they push themselves beyond their comfort zone in our TechHire program!

2:30pm – Goodwill Industries – Chris Pier is the Director of Commercial Recycling Services for Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin and Metropolitan Chicago. He is responsible for the three commercial business units dedicated to recycling services and data destruction. His division currently manages the responsible recycling of 15M+ lbs of material per year, across more than 100 material streams and is 99% diverted from the solid waste stream. These materials include traditional paper and plastics, as well as unique materials like electronic components and universal waste. Prior to Goodwill, he was President of Applied Clarity, a consulting firm focused on environmental business strategy located in Denver, Colorado.
3:00pm – A Goodwill Participant will excite us about what they do and then we will have the opportunity to tour the Goodwill facility. The tours will last for 20-25 minutes.
As always, food, refreshments and networking will follow to conclude the event!
