Session 1: “The Direct Supply Cloud Story: Lessons learned from a very successful cloud migration” with Dave Stauffacher, Direct Supply.
In this talk, Dave Stauffacher will share how Direct Supply approached their cloud migration project, how they moved 90% of their infrastructure to the cloud in under 8 hours, and review the key elements that drove their success.
Dave Stauffacher: Chief Platform Engineer, Direct Supply
Dave Stauffacher is a Chief Platform Engineer focused on cloud engineering at Direct Supply. With a background in data storage and protection, Dave has helped Direct Supply navigate a 30,000% data growth over the last 15 years. In his current role, Dave is focused on helping drive Direct Supply’s cloud migration, combining his storage background with cloud automation and standardization practices.
Dave has showcased his cloud experience in presentations at the AWS Midwest Community Day, AWS Re:Invent, HashiConf, the Milwaukee Big Data User Group and other industry events. Dave is also a contributor to the AWS Storage Blog and other technology publications.

Ann Sherwin: Manager of Collaboration Services, Milwaukee Tool
For the past 8 years, Ann has been focusing on collaboration in the cloud, hybrid work, and digital transformation. Ann has extensive experience in implementing the Microsoft 365 cloud stack for large national and global organizations. In this capacity, Ann has implemented cloud tools, including Teams, SharePoint Online, the Power Platform, Vimeo, Kaltura and many more to transform the way the business works. Ann has an additional 7-year background in software product management spanning the healthcare, finance, and retail industries. Currently, she leads the Collaboration Services team at Milwaukee Tool.
