In parallel, his commitment to shaping the future of tech is evident in his work in Higher Education. As a Lead Course Instructor at Western Governors University and an adjunct lecturer at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, he has developed and delivered cutting-edge curricula on Cloud Computing and emerging technologies like AI, empowering the next generation of IT professionals to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Chris King, Senior Director of Cyber Threat Operations, Northwestern Mutual
Chris King is a cybersecurity leader and technologist for over 15 years. As Senior Director of Northwestern Mutual’s Cyber Threat Operations organization, he leads teams of talented security engineers operationalizing intelligence, building threat simulations, developing cutting-edge GenAI solutions, and hunting for ghosts in the machine. Much to the chagrin of his team, Chris gets his hands dirty and consistently dives into interesting incidents and threat data, looking for patterns to exploit. In prior roles, he led security operations and DevOps teams at Rockwell Automation and spent a large portion of his career supporting US Government work in vulnerability research and promoting coordinated vulnerability disclosure.
Dr. Ricki J Koinig, Chief Information Officer, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources
Ricki has led mid to large-scale IT strategy, cybersecurity, and IT operations organizations in the global private sector as well as the state government public sector. She has achieved objectives within organizations of diverse cultures, languages, and top-down/bottom-up organizational structures in the US, Europe, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, and India. Ricki has various professional accolades, holds a master’s degree from Marquette University, and a doctorate degree in HCI/UX/UI from the University of Technology in Vienna, Austria where she lived for 17+ years. Ricki strives to create environments of collaboration, mutual support and positivity to build stronger, more empowered, and inclusive personal and professional communities.
